Jack Younse Vice President of Quality, Function and Design Division
Dr. Jack M. Younse, the Vice President of Quality, Function and Design Vice President
of Quality, Function and Design Division is responsible for establishing new innovative technologies through the early stages of design and development. This effort is largely driven by Quality Function Deployment (QFD) where a customer’s requirements, also called "care-abouts," are used to drive a product development with emphasis on "doing the right thing right the first time." This front-end deployment results in a set of design requirements or specifications, agreeable to both the customer and AirGATE Technologies, which are then used as design targets by the engineering teams. Additionally, Dr. Younse is heavily involved in a number of on-going project design and development efforts and development projects.
Dr. Younse spent many years in the Texas Instrument R&D labs in the areas of superconducting magnets, charge coupled device (CCD) cameras, machine vision systems, micro-electro-mechanical system (MEMS) devices, and Digital Micro-mirror –device (DMD) displays. He held the position as Program Manager for the TI/DARPA high definition display program, which was one of the important forerunners leading to the popular TI DLP HDTV display product line. Dr. Younse helped to develop cosmic radiation and mass spectrometer space instruments at the
SouthwestCenter
for Advanced Studies (now UTD).
Dr. Younse received his MSEE degree and his Doctorate Engineering Degree from Southern Methodist University with emphasis on digital signal processing along with additional studies in operations research and engineering management. His Praxis (dissertation) is titled "Motion Detection Using the Statistical Properties of a Video Image." Dr. Younse is also a registered patent agent with privileges to write and prosecute patent applications before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Mike Sheriff, President and CEO of
AirGATE Technologies, was the featured speaker for “Picking the Right Solution for
Product Authentication” at the conference.
